Black Star is Avril’s first fragrance from Procter & Gamble it will be available by summer 2009 first across Europe and soon in the US and Canada.
Everything from its name to the studded ring around the bottle's neck has a personal significance to Lavigne.
The fragrance contains notes of pink hibiscus, black plum and dark chocolate and it also had an ancillary line of shower gels, body lotion and deodorant. It's expected to generate $50 million in sales.
